This website is an archive of the Museum of the History of the Gulag, which ceased its work in Moscow in November 2024.

In its place, in the same building, the Museum of Memory opened in 2026.

We thank everyone who has been with us over the years. The materials collected by the Museum of the History of the Gulag will remain available in this archive.
